Expressions of adventure (especially in the automobile space) have traditionally been narrow and exclusionary, inhibiting the opportunity for more people to connect with their own adventurous spirit.

For the curious, adventure needs to be accessible and achievable. The R2 is a vehicle that equips people with the capabilities to claim any adventure.

Rivian partnered with AKQA San Francisco Studio to help launch the R2, their adventure vehicle for the masses. The launch centered around a live keynote presentation that also teased the future vision for the brand, the R3 and the R3X.

R2: Adventure. Every day.

Adventure isn’t something to seek. Life itself is the adventure. It’s this spirit that inspired the unveil film for the R2. A cinematic ode to the human experiences the vehicles enables, created in collaboration with Director, Jason Harper.

R3: Modern nostalgia.

The “Slideshow” teaser film for the Rivian R3 and R3X serves as a “and one more thing” moment for the keynote event.

The film was inspired by the theater in which it debuted and the sense of modern nostalgia evoked by the designs of the R3 and R3X.
