Best of 2019.

The Apple App Store is filled with millions of apps created by developers all over the word. But some are better than others. The crème de la crème, as it were. The end of the year was our opportunity to look back, reflect on the best apps and the developers who created them.

The problem.

We needed to create a campaign that celebrates the developers who make all these amazing apps and games. But we also want to use it as a way to get new users in the door. And we also want downloads. Yes, lots and lots of downloads is how you’ll be judged. And we need it in a month. Oh. And while we’re selecting these internally, we don’t want too much credit. Deal?

The solution.

People speak in reviews. And they are already expressing their love for these apps on the App Store itself. We tapped into that love and turned it into both a point of pride for developers and a testimonial for everyone who isn’t.

Last words.

Working across timezones can be really, really efficient when it’s managed and led correctly. We collaborated with our studios on Sao Paulo, Paris, and Stockholm. While someone was sleeping, someone was working. Was chill.

The work sells… more work. The longform video wasn’t even in the brief. But we felt that it was the right way to lay the foundation for the program. So we made our owned-social assets interesting enough that the client wanted more.
